If you have sincerely died with Jesus and have been risen in him then you have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been promised as a deposit guaranteeing what is to come, to anyone who accepts Jesus. The question is, have you been baptized in the Holy Spirit, which is like a coming out party for the Holy Spirit, when the power of God becomes manifested in you. That is marked by any number of strange things like prophesying, suddenly knowing this about people that they never told you, speaking in tongues, a many other equally unnatural things. There is an awareness of God that you have never had before, almost an euphoria. You just want to giggle because you are so happy to be with God. Then you need to learn how to live and operate in the Spirit of God.
