Hi Pastor, I would just like to ask, how would I know that the Holy Spirit is really speaking to me? I don't really know that if it is the Holy Spirit or just my mind working. Thanks! God bless you. :)

Most things from God comes in with confirmation. God has already planted his seeds in us and often our heart is filled with the things he has placed there, so when the Spirit speaks he is only confirming what is already there. He also confirms it in his Word and often someone who does not know what is on our heart will also confirm it. Always check what the Spirit is saying against the Word of God. The Spirit will never speak outside of the Word but deceiving spirits will twist the Word of God. Often I find the Spirit speaks when I am in prayer and worship, when my mind, heart and spirit as most focused on Jesus. There are other times when the Spirit will provoke us to action because of the moment we are in. An example is when the Spirit wants us to speak to the person we are standing with at the bus stop.
